What do I need to do before the competition?

Simple, just follow these easy steps:

  1. Register for Nexus Online
  2. Complete the ‘Competition Registration Form’ 
         Check the confirmation email you received after registering for Nexus Online!
  3. Get creating!

Make sure you register before the dealine: 1700, 31st of July (AEST)

Submissions will be open from: 0900, 1st of July until  1700, 1st of August (AEST).

How do I register?

To register for the art competition, check the confirmation email you received after registering for Nexus Online.

Look for this heading: ‘Activity Registration Forms’.

Open the competition link below that heading and complete the form to register for the competitions you’re interested in.

You’ll be sent an “Art Submission Form” once the competition opens, at 09:00am on the 1st of July (AEST).

You will use this form to submit the photos and information we need for judging.

When does registration open, and when does it close?

Registration is OPEN from 0900,   1st of May (AEST).

Registration will  CLOSE at 1700, the 31st of Junly (AEST).


Art submissions will be OPEN from 0900, the 1st of July (AEST).

Submissions will CLOSE at 1700, the 1st of August (AEST).

What if I’m late to register or submit?

We have to be quite strict in our regulations, since we are expecting a lot of participants and we have a limited number of judges and manpower.

However, if you encounter difficult circumstances which hinder your registration or submission, get in touch with us. We will consider each request on a case by case basis, and will try to help you if we can!

What do I need to submit for the competition?

If you registered for the competition, you will be sent an ‘Art Submission Form’ at 0900 on the 1st July (AEST), which will provide you with an opportunity to submit photos of, and information about your cosplay.

To compete, you must do the following:

  1. Read through the ‘Art Submission Form’.

  2. Capture/generate images of your art, following the guidelines listed in the submission form.

  3. Answer all the required fields in the submission form.

  4. Upload your photos to the submission form.

  5. Submit the form before 1700 on the 1st of August (AEST)!

The images and information about your art and your process will be used by our team of judges. It all helps to get a better idea of your work.

What type of art can I make?

Check out our ‘Art Guidelines’ to see what’s acceptable.

If you have submitted an artwork for any other competition and it has won an award, that piece will not be able to win in this competition.
