This year, we’re hosting an Art Competition!

Art can take so many forms, and so can neurodiversity… So we’ve decided to celebrate both!
In this competition, it doesn’t matter if you paint, sculpt, or photograph. It doesn’t even matter if you’re digital or traditional. All types of art are welcome here!

Theme:

“Sometimes a feeling is all we humans have to go on.” ~ James T. Kirk

Token:

A Banana! (Why? Because Coffs Harbour, the home of Nexus Con, is also the home of the ‘Big Banana’!)

How it works:

Once you’ve registered for the competition, it’s time to get creating!

Your artwork must be based on the theme, and include the ‘token’ of the competition in some way!

Participants will be sent an ‘Art Submission Form’ once submissions open in July.

During the submission period, participants will be required to submit images of their art, as well as answer some questions detailing their creative process.

The judges will use this information in order to come to their final decision, and the winners will be announced during the second day of the event!

Registration and Submission:

To register for the art competition, check the confirmation email you received after registering for Nexus Online.

Look for this heading: ‘Activity Registration Forms’.

Open the competition link below that heading and complete the form to register for the competitions you’re interested in.

You’ll be sent an “Art Submission Form” once the competition opens, at 0900, 1st of July (AEST).
